Floating lid for variable capacity tanks of about 75-100 litres*.
Provided with air valve, inner tube (inflatable gasket), air pump with manometer
+ tube for the connection of the air pump to the inner tube.
*IMPORTANT NOTICE: The floating lid is suitable for
all containers which inner diameter is between 39 cm to 42* cm
(* max).
VARIABLE CAPACITY TANK: A variable capacity tank is a open container from
above that, using a floating lid to protect the liquid, has a variable
level, whatever the user wants : In a tank of 500 or 300 litre is possible
to fill whatever quantity of liquid.
IMPORTANT : control with accuracy the inner diameter of your container/tank.

What is a floating lid?
A floating lid is a kind of stainless steel lid that is placed directly over the liquid.
Its purpose is to protect liquids, wine, oil, etc., from contact with oxygen that could trigger unwanted oxidation phenomena.
In the case of wine, for example, one oxidation phenomenon is "fioretta," which manifests as a white patina covering the surface of the wine.
How does it work?
The floating lid has a shaped edge to which an inner tube is applied.
The same is connected with a small tube to a pump with a pressure gauge.
Having mounted all the accessories - an inner tube, hose, hose clamps and a vent valve - you rest it on the liquid and start pumping : the inner tube inflates and adheres strongly to the walls of the container, ensuring that oxygen cannot be in contact with the liquid.
